Lesson FAQs

  • Lessons are scheduled in 25-, 30-, or 45-minute blocks, depending on the instrument and the student’s age and skill level. Typically, Mrs. B. sees students for lessons once per week. She will work with your family’s schedule to create a lesson plan that best fits the student’s needs.

  • Sure! Students may combine up to two studies in extended 45-minute session for $50 per session. For example, a student may choose to split a 45-minute session between piano and voice, or piano and ukulele, or voice and ukulele.

  • Yes! Practice is a highly important part of the musical journey, although I like to think of it more as “more play” rather than “practice.” Piano students will need to have a piano or keyboard at home, and ukulele students will need to have their own ukulele. All students will be expected to practice at home at least 1 hour per week.

  • Payments are required in advance and may be submitted either biweekly or monthly via Venmo, Zelle, or cash.

  • If a student knows prior to the beginning of the month that they must miss an upcoming lesson, payments may be adjusted ahead of time to align with their monthly lesson schedule. Except in cases of same-day cancellations, if a lesson is canceled after payment has already been received, then the student will be offered a make-up lesson within that same month to ensure they receive the number of lessons they paid for. Please note that if a lesson is canceled on the day of, students will not receive a refund or make-up lesson.

  • Absolutely! Mrs. B. would be happy to set up a 15-minute consultation with you via phone call, Facetime, or in person.
